Stefan joined the company in June 2018 as Head of Japanese equity research and in July 2019 was appointed Head of Equity Research. He has 24 years investment and research experience, predominantly in Japan. Seconded from Hypovereinsbank in 1994, he became a portfolio manager and Director at Foreign & Colonial (F&C) in London, managing Japanese equity portfolios. After 5 years in Tokyo as the Head of Research and Japan strategist for CLSA Asia Pacific Markets, he returned to Europe in 2007 to launch several Japan funds and segregated account for Lupus Alpha Asset Management and Catalytic Investment Group in Singapore. Stefan holds a BA in Business Administration from Wuerzburg University, Germany, and is fully licensed by the Japan Securities Dealers Association (JSDA) in Tokyo, Japan.
