Edward Buxton

Edward began his career in equity sales at Cazenove in 2000 before moving to UBS Wealth Management in 2004. He later joined Cheviot Asset Management, where he became a Partner in 2010. In 2019, he became a founding partner of Vermeer Partners, helping to establish the business and develop a client-focused investment proposition.

Edward has extensive experience advising private clients, families, trustees and charities on bespoke investment portfolios, working closely with them to understand their long-term objectives and wider circumstances. His approach combines disciplined investment management with clear communication and a strong emphasis on long-term client relationships.

Edward graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a degree in Civil Engineering and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. He joined the firm in July 2026 following W1M’s acquisition of Vermeer Partners.

Edward lives outside Cambridge with his wife and three children.
