Multi-Assets
The Multi-Asset team work closely with the respective asset class investment teams, designing, managing and structuring a range of investment solutions for clients, investors and other stakeholders.
We are objective-based investors with a real-return (UK CPI+x%) mindset and investment objective. We employ a bottom-up investment process and invest globally, actively and directly. We consider investment risk to be:
(1) underperforming inflation over the long term and
(2) permanent capital loss, and this risk framework instructs how we construct multi-asset portfolios.
Our Multi-Asset Funds seek to maximise risk-adjusted returns by focusing on two key objectives:
Grow capital meaningfully ahead of inflation over the long term.
Protect capital in periods of stress
We target these objectives by constructing global, multi-asset portfolios, populated from the bottom-up across asset classes, and with a top-down overlay as regards asset allocation and currency management. Investing globally provides us with the broadest and deepest opportunity set across asset classes. Selected securities have to justify their place in a portfolio and positioning is not dictated by weights relative to any benchmark.

Our multi-asset funds
The multi-asset fund range all have a multi-asset structure and invests in a portfolio of direct equities, bonds and alternative strategies, and may use open-ended funds and exchange traded funds to gain exposure to those asset classes. The Fund will maintain a relatively concentrated portfolio with a high degree of flexibility.

The Waverton Funds are sub-funds of Waverton Investment Funds PLC, an umbrella fund. These Waverton Funds form a range of investment vehicles, including equity, fixed income and multi-asset funds.
