W1M Investment Management retains UK Stewardship Code signatory status for fourth consecutive year

We are proud to announce that W1M Investment Management (formerly Waverton Investment Management) has once again been recognised as a signatory to the UK Stewardship Code. This continued recognition reflects the strength and integrity of the investment process of W1M, which was formed from the merger of Waverton Investment Management and London & Capital. The UK Stewardship Code sets a high bar for responsible and effective stewardship, and we are pleased that our longstanding approach to responsible investment continues to meet both UK regulatory expectations and leading industry standards.
Guy McGlashan, CEO, comments: “At W1M, responsible stewardship is embedded in everything we do – from setting and upholding high governance standards across the business, to integrating ESG considerations thoughtfully into our investment process, and fostering strong, transparent relationships with our clients and partners. These principles form the foundation of a corporate culture that is committed to safeguarding our clients’ capital while ensuring the long-term success of our firm.
As long-term investors, we believe that fulfilling our fiduciary duty and delivering meaningful, responsible outcomes requires a pragmatic approach. This means recognising not only those companies already leading in ESG, but also those on an improving trajectory and those that play an essential role in delivering the solutions needed for the transition to a more sustainable future.”
Our 2024 Stewardship Report includes examples and case studies across the 12 principles set out by the Stewardship Code, which illustrate how we strive to create value for our clients, while contributing to positive real-world outcomes over time.
